Happy Guts = Happy Tummies = Happy Families

Hi I’m Kristen

Hi, I’m Kristen

I’m a board-certified pediatric dietitian and a functional gut health specialist for babies and kids.

After years of working with families, I became increasingly frustrated with the traditional healthcare model — and how often parents were told to “try this medication” or “they’ll grow out of it” while their child continued to struggle. Many had already tried cutting foods, adding supplements or medications, and doom scrolling symptoms… yet it still felt like something was being missed.

They didn’t need another band-aid suggestion or quick fix. They needed someone who would listen, connect the dots, and uncover why their child’s gut was out of balance — and then use the power of nutrition and targeted lifestyle changes to help restore it.

That’s why I created Happy Tummy Nutrition: to give parents the answers, tools, and support they deserve — and to help their little ones feel their best!

How I Help

I help families uncover the root cause of their child’s gut symptoms and create a clear, step-by-step plan using a food-first, functional approach.

Common symptoms and conditions I support include:

  • Chronic constipation or diarrhea
  • Reflux or GERD
  • Eczema or skin flares
  • Food allergies or sensitivities
  • FPIES, CSID, EoE, or other complex GI conditions
  • Poor weight gain or feeding struggles

I’ll guide you toward what to feed and how to support gut healing from the inside out — in a way that works for your family.

Why I Do This Work

My Start & My Career

Florida State University + University of North Florida
I earned my BS in Food & Nutrition from Florida State (Go Noles!) and my MS in Nutrition & Dietetics from the University of North Florida, becoming a Registered Dietitian.
First Role: Community Pediatric Nutrition
I spent over six years in community-based pediatric nutrition, helping families navigate feeding challenges, food allergies, and growth concerns. This role taught me the importance of meeting families where they are and creating realistic, doable nutrition plans.
Next: Outpatient Pediatric Clinic at a Large Children’s Hospital
Here, I worked alongside pediatric GI, allergy, feeding therapy, and other specialty teams. Saw firsthand how often parents’ concerns were brushed aside and kids were quickly prescribed medications without exploring why symptoms were happening. This drove me to open my own practice.
Today: Founder of Happy Tummy Nutrition
Now, I blend my clinical background with a functional, food-first approach to help families uncover the root cause of their gut issues and restore balance — without unnecessary medications or overly restrictive diets.

What Makes Me Different?

Most of the parents I work with have already been down a long road of trying to “figure it out.” They’ve seen multiple providers, tried cutting foods, started supplements, and still feel like something’s being missed.

The difference? TIME and a root-cause approach.

In a typical clinic, you might get 15–20 minutes every few months. In my bundles and programs, I have the time to deeply understand your child’s history, symptoms, and unique needs — and to check in often so we can troubleshoot in real time, not weeks later.

I’m not here to give you another generic handout or band-aid fix. I’m here to help you understand why your child’s gut is out of balance and give you the tools, strategies, and support to restore it — so they can truly thrive!
